Located within the Left Bank appellation of Saint-Estèphe, Château Phélan Ségur owes
its name to founder, Irishman Bernard Phelan, who merged the properties of Clos de
Garramey and Domaine Ségur de Cabanac, eventually taken over by his son Frank
and renamed Château Phélan Ségur, with a second wine introduced under the moniker
of Frank Phélan.
After more than thirty years in charge of the property, the Gardinier family has passed on the reins to Philippe Van de Vyvere. For this great wine enthusiast, taking over this prestigious growth is the fulfilment of one of his most cherished Dreams.
